Is my PSU good enough for the GTX 1050 ti?

230 watts units are normally on OEM boxes SFF versions are proprietary and harder to find decent upgrades. A Stock or lightly clocked 1050ti will run on a decent 300Watt supply since it uses no additional power, I can point on a current HP unit being sold at Wal Mart that supports that. So the question is what case design is your PC? Desktop, Tower, Mini Tower or Small Form Factor or better yet what is the model number?

I'd suggest getting a 1050 Ti that uses a 6 pin connector, assuming you upgrade the power supply. The reason? It's possible that motherboard does not output a standard 75W on the pci-ex slot. The card could draw the necessary power to compensate for that from the 6 pin connector. If you pick one with no 6 pin connector then it will need to get all the power from the pci-ex slot only.

Is this a Brand name PC? HP, Acer.. Whatever... If so what is the Model number or is this custom built? It's hard for anyone here to suggest what you can upgrade to if we don't know what you have.

If you have no idea.. open the case and take a picture then post it. HP and DELL OEM systems use proprietary Power supply's often and even though it might look like a ATX design the physical wiring can be setup special for that range of motherboards. This unfortunately makes a 3rd party supply useless with out a adapter or some knowledge in electronics.
