Is my PSU good enough?

My system is a Ryzen 1700, 1080ti, MSI b350 pc mate motherboard, Samsung 850 evo ssd + SB 7200 rpm 1TB HD, 2x Corsair Vengeance 8gb ram 3200mhz and Corsair CX550M 550 W 80+ Bronze PSU.

The estimated wattage for the system is 440watts and my psu will presumably draw 80% of that 550 watts which would be 440watts. I've checked every other piece of hardware for fault and this looks to me like it could be the reason for my CPU underperforming. I don't mind splashing out money for a psu if it looks like it's the issue.

1. How do I confirm this is the issue?
2. What psu bronze/silver/gold should I buy if so?

Solution
The CX550M is rated at 550w on the 12v rail. The bronze rating means if your system needs 500w the psu will take approximately 625w from the wall. It does not mean a 550w psu can only deliver 440w.

A psu cannot cause a cpu to underperform. An insufficient psu can cause stability issues but not performance issues.

I’d start another thread explaining the cpu performance issue and we can try to help with that.

True. I guess one question should be did you set the ram speed, in the bios? If not it is running at 2133/2400 and Ryzen needs faster ram speeds. I would check temps too.

Yeah I know....

But the red flags are flying all over the place. :D

A 550W budget unit in THAT system..... Chills going down my spine just thinking about it.

My ram is running at 1467mhz, in dual channel, and my core speed is 3200mhz. ..
