Is my PSU good for the new GPU?

Hello everyone,

Well my PSU is Gigabyte Odin pro 550w , I have it from 2010 : http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=2495#kf

my other component:
intel i5-2500
h61 mobo
8gb ram
2 hdd

Im willing to upgrade my GPU to nvidia 970GTX, & im not sure whether the PSU is good or not for it?

I need your advise

Minimum system power requirement for the 970 is 500w, the psu should be good enough

Ya it could thats enough power to run your system including the GPU.

But as CladHail said, the 970 minimum system requirement is 500w so the 550w PSU you have is enough to run your system.

thanks guys , beside the wattage , my PSU provides 18amps on 12v rail ,will it be sufficient for the 970?

You can use 2 different rails, just make sure that neither of them is the same rail that powers the CPU/MB or you can run into overload problems.
