I have a i5 8400 and a gtx 1050 2gb and I'm looking to upgrade to a gtx 1660 super. Is my RPC50000AB good enough for that?

Not a good idea. Low budget, low quality and only 30 amps on +12 volt = 360 watts. Time for a new power supply. A high quality model will be able to deliver close to its rated capacity on +12 volt and have full protections, but not this one.

A GTX 1660s requires a 450watt psu. Yours may be enough since it’s a 550 watt psu, although it’s an OEM psu and it might be low quality so it could be risky. You just can’t overclock your GPU, so maybe later on you could get a decent quality psu.
