I'm afraid my PSU is not powerfull enough for my system.
I'm using an Aopen 245W PSU that came with te case, the problem is that the air he blows runs hot quite quickly
and that my case is packed!
description:
Duron 1.2Ghz
MOBO:MSI K7T PRO (6330)
RAM: 2x Crucial 256mb C2 PC133
HDD1: Maxtor Diamond max Plus 9 60GB
HDD2: IBM 60GXP 40GB
DVD: Pioneer 16x40x Slot-in
CD-RW: LG 12x8x32
GPU: ATI Radeon 7200 64MB SDR AGP
PCI Slots:
1)Promise ULTRA 133 TX²
2)Sound blaster live! 5.1
3)NIC 3COM 3c905TX-M
4)Hercules Smart TV card
Since I read the article here about powersupplies
and the requirements for a modern PC, I did a little
math and came up with approximatively 305W for my
system.
I don't know if that figure is accurate but since
the PSU of my other system toasted a MOBO and HDD
I can't help wondering What if it happens to my
good system?
I tough I would buy an Enermax EG365AX-VE(W) FCA
to give me peace of mind for a faw years.
Is it necessary, or was my calculation wrong.
Thanx
