Is My psu still safe to use ?

Solution
Your PSU should be fundamentally sound. Sure it may go - but then all things do break down.

If you want to hedge your bets - purchase a good Tier 1 or Tier 2 PSU and save it for when this one starts to act up. OR install the new PSU and keep this one as an emergency backup.

let me put it this way....nothing lasts forever, every time I upgrade my computer I replace everything, this way I know that there is not a chance for something to fail because I am being cheap....I start saving for a new system as soon as I uprade the old one, this way I have 3-4 years to save up for it...5 dollars here 10 dollars there helps, before you know it you will have 2 to 3 k easy

Cooler Master for the most part makes low quality PSUs. Its not the age but the fact it was low end to being with.

It should work, but I would buy something better quality. Wattage is more than enough, a Corsair CX450M would do the job for you.

Thats not a coolermaster. It is however not a good quality PSU either. My suggested CX450M is a new version and far better
