Hi,

I've been experiencing random computer crashes, usually while playing games or watch online videos, and I have tried to diagnose everything and now I have arrived at the PSU,

I was just wondering if my PSU is actually sufficient for my system, my specs are as follows:
AMD Fx-4170 Quad-core Processor (3200MHz)
AMD Radeon HD 6670
Sandisk 120Gb SSD
Additional 2TB Harddrive
TP-Link 150Mbps Wireless N Adapter (using PCI slot)
8Gb RAM
3 Case Fans
CD/DVD Drive

And my PSU is 450W. If you require anymore information about the PSU, just ask and I will try to comply (I dont really know much about PSU's)

Thanks

450 watt PSU should be plenty, however not all 450 PSU are equal. There are a wide varitey of qualities, a cheap 450 watt PSU won't be enough, but any of the nicer ones will be able to handle that system fine.

So we really need to know brand and model of the PSU to accurately answer this question.

Thank you so much for the suggestions, I have one more thing to ask,

My computer only now seems to freeze during intensive games. For example, the system may crash while playing Civilization V or The Sims 3; but it has never crashed during all my time of playing League of Legends or Mount and Blade: Warband,

Do you think this is caused by the psu not being able to keep up with the intensity of the graphics and how hard the computer is working?

Hey
its not temp. or gpu fault. Its problem may be in you mobo bios or not enough ram.
my friend lost his pc's mobo same problem.
You need to update you bios or upgrade ur ram for solve this problem. May be both.
I hope it helps.
Thank you.

I cant find any Windows 8 BIOS updates and i ran memtest not long ago and all came back fine after running it for about 8 hours.

Would you recommend fresh install of Windows 7? I have quite a few games installed and all programs set up on Windows 8, is it worth it?
