Hello, I have a corsair cx600m and I am wondering if it is capable of handling some upgrades to my pc. My current specs are, an i5 6500 16gb 2133mhz ddr4, Gtx 970 OC 1420mhz, 2x sata SSDs, 7200rpm HDD, 2x 120mm case fans. I have just ordered a Corsair h55 liquid cooler and another 120mm fan. Will my psu support all this? I dont mind getting rid of the OC on my Gpu or removing an SSD, Thanks.

Solution

Yeah, I would get rid of it.

The new ones are a lot better (Grey Label) or even better get a TXM.

Nope.

You are on borrowed time, as are your parts if it goes.

You can spend some and get a new good unit or spend a lot when it goes and take the rest of you system with it.

Seen a few of those Green CX's burn lately here on the forums.

there are some better units, albeit based on older but proven platform, that are very affordable, the seasonic s12II or the M12II.
