I'll try to explain this the best I can. Last night my computer was perfectly fine, so I wake up today and go to turn on my computer and as usual my case fans start up stop then start up again, nothing unusual so far except I am just getting a blank screen on my monitor. After shutting off my computer I opened my case and reset every essential piece of hardware to see if that would magic fix it, I tried again and still no display. I tried a different monitor, hdmi cable, dvi cable ect.. I thought it might be my graphics card but I can't test that theory cause I don't have on board video because it's a gaming build. What is leading me to think it's my psu is usually when I start my computer I have my phone plugged via USB to charge it and It usually immediately starts to get a charge the second I hit the power button, so I'm thinking my psu is only giving enough power to my case fans and my external hdd(I use an ssd as my boot drive) but not my graphics card(yes I have my PCI-E cable plugged in and I've tried a different PCI slot).
If anyone has an idea of what could be the problem it would be greatly appreciated.
Forgot to mention I also cleared my CMOS thinking it might be bios related cause I have my CPU OC'd
My specs are:
AMD FX 8350 4.6 oc
Crucial Ballistix Elite 8GB RAM
EVGA GeForce GTX 660
Corsair Builder Series 600W 80+ bronze
GIGABYTE GA-970A-D3 Revision 3.0
