Is my RAM a bottleneck for my system?

Hello guys, curious if anyone can answer a question i have about my system. I'm not the best with PCs so bare with me. My specs are:

GPU: GTX 1060 3GB (zotac mini)
CPU: AMD Ryzen 3 1200
Motherboard: ASUS PRIME A320M-K (am4)

The question is, is my RAM a bottleneck for my system? I've heard that RAM speeds / RAM amounts can drastically affect performance for Ryzen CPUs. For anyone curious the RAM i have is 8GB Dual-Channel (1064MHz). I don't know the name of the RAM.

Could this affect performance? Would it be better to savee some money and upgrade my RAM to 2400MHz or to upgrade to a Ryzen 5 1600? Currently i know i have a bottleneck in my system. I just don't know if it's the CPU or the RAM. Like i said, i've heard that RAM speeds can bottleneck a Ryzen CPU so what's the issue here? If anyone can help it's much appreicated

You already have 2133MHz RAM so 2400MHz wouldn't be much of improvement, would be better off with R5 1600 CPU. You can't OC on that MB and chipset so even faster RA would be a question if it would work.

I have 2133MHz RAM? it says i have 1064MHz?

Yes, it's DDR (Double Data Rate) so when some programs show just half of speed you are supposed to multiply by 2 to get proper speed.

Ok, well now i know it's the CPU who is the bottleneck. Time to upgrade and get me a Ryzen 5 1600 Thanks for your help it helped massively. You probably saved me a good $80. Thanks mate

Yes, 1600 would help a lot, 1200 is bottom of Ryzen line. Some OC would help but that MB can't do it.

Would a 1600 remove the bottleneck without any OC? Im guessing it would because it's 6c 12t.

Yes, it would be a good pair with 1060.
