Is my RAM actually running at this speed?

Hi,

I was looking around in CPU-Z and I went to the memory page and saw this http://gyazo.com/fa96b8989e27113bcdbaa756021d6d38

Now I'm a little curious as to if my memory is actually running at this speed or if it's variable like a CPU is. In BIOS it's set to 1333MhZ (Even though it's 1600 RAM, but that another story..)

Just solve my curiosity please!

P.S Even when I'm gaming it doesn't go over this "800MhZ" barrier. Running on a GA-970A-DS3

Yes , since it is Double Data Rate RAM , you ll get the effective rate by x2 .

Yes , since it is Double Data Rate RAM , you ll get the effective rate by x2 .

So that means that by x2 it will start running at 1600? (x2 what exactly?)

the real clocks are those CPU Z is showing , but to get the effective rate just multiply by 2 - calculations , no need of tweaking .For instance , the one that is shown as 667MHz has effective rate of 1333MHz .

Haha I wish I had the guts to mess around with voltages.. Anyways, I don't think 1333vs1600 would be MUCH of a difference
