Is my RAM compatible with my motherboard?

motherboard : Elite Group (ECS) Motherboards H61H2-M2


RAM :

Kingston KVR13N9S8/4


When I installed the RAM,been having extreme lags where I couldn't even open apps like firefox.
Could it be that my RAM is incompatible?

specs:Intel(R) Pentium(R) CPU G630 @ 2.70GHz
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750 Ti
RAM 4GB
Microsoft Windows 7 Enterprise Edition Service Pack 1 (build 7601), 64-bit

The memory is compatible with the board. Do you have 1 or 2 sticks of that RAM? If 2, are they a matched set? I see you have 4GB listed, But I was wondering if the one you linked to was another 4GB upgrade.

DRAM should be fine, make sure it's set to proper timings, might try raising DRAM voltage to 1.55, also might check for a BIOS update

Yes I have an existing RAM before the upgrade.

You may be running into dual channel problems since the 2 sticks are not a matched set. Dual channel memory mode is quite picky when it comes to timings, manufacturing lots, manufacturing date, etc. That's why memory for dual channel systems is usually sold in MATCHED pairs.

But unless this only happens since you added the 2nd stick, you may have other issues. Software conflicts, registry errors, too much stuff running in the background at one time, etc. Try running CCleaner and do the Clean and Registry portion both. My motherboard does run on dual channel..I guess that's probably it..
