[SOLVED] Is my RAM defective?

Solution
Check if the memory read on windows is capped or not.
If you don't know how to do it, press windows + R , then type "msconfig"

you will find this menu :
Advanced-Options-in-Windows-7-System-Configuration_thumb.png


select "advanced option", then uncheck the maximum memory

Hi, i have a problem with my RAM, in BIOS it detect 16gb of RAM one 8gb & one 8gb on the other slot, but in windows it's only 7.9 and the Task Manager memory won't show up, is my RAM defective?

Check your MB's manual, RAM should most probably be in A2 and B2 slots but you have them in A1 and B1.
