Short story: Brand new PC build only shows display when one of my 2 RAM sticks is installed. If I install both sticks or just the other stick, no display. Is my second stick DOA?
Longer story: Just built my brother a gaming PC. Go to boot it up and everything powers on but no display to the monitor. After some troubleshooting, we get the display to work by removing one of the two RAM sticks. After trying multiple RAM configurations (slot placement etc.) it seems the only way display will work is if the one RAM stick is installed. I even tried the other stick by itself and no display. Specs are below:
MOBO: Asus Prime B450M-A
CPU: Ryzen 5 3600
RAM: G. Skill Ripjaws V 2x8gb @ 3200mhz
I have the same issue whether the RAM is at stock profile or the OC profile. Any tips or is my second stick just dead?
