Not sure if this should be under Memory or Motherboards.

I just finished the final parts list for my new PC a day or two ago, and I ordered the parts. They'll be here in a couple days.

Due to some out-of-stock parts, I swapped my MSI B350 motherboard out for an Asus ROG Strix B450-f Gaming at the last minute. I read through all the manuals to check for compatibility, but upon a second reading I'm concerned that the RAM I ordered may not work at all on the board.

The RAM I ordered is a Patriot Viper 4 16GB 3200 MHz kit, model number PV416G320C6K. This RAM does not appear on the list of supported 3200 memories on the Asus support site ( last updated July 2018), although a very similar Patriot 8 GB kit model number PV48G320C6K does appear on the list. The memory also does not appear on the list of compatible memories posted by Patriot (also in July of 2018), although the B450 form factor is entirely missing from the list.

Will my memory work at all? I have about a week until I do the build so I might have time to return the memory and order a better set if I absolutely have to.

Solution
From what I gather, they have Samsung B-Die chips and @3200MHz which is known to be a sweet spot for Ryzen. If a known module at 8GB work then no reason why a 16GB kit of same spec would not work.

YES i think they will work however they are OC RAM and therefore Bios will default initially to either 1333MHz or 2400MHz. Not a major issue however you will have to Manually enter their SPD details in Bios for Primary timings and Dram Voltage. Pre programmed profiles such as XMP or D.O.C.P will not work as OC RAM is beyond the JDEC standard. Returns should not be an issue if you can't get then to play fair however some retailers won't exchange without cost.

The major difference between my set and the lone Patriot set on the list is that the one on the list is a single-channel kit with no B-Die and mine is a dual channel kit with B-Die. They have the same CL and speed. I haven't built a PC before so I was/am a little concerned about compatibility.

As a first time builder your looking for reassurance however there is nothing I can say that guarantees 100% that the OC RAM you have chosen will work out of the box at their rated SPD (Serial presence detect). It is however a good Bios learning exercise if you want to get the most out of your system. The listed RAM you report indicate compatibility however will require Bios Tweaking. If you don't wish to mess with Bios then obtain a kit of RAM that are listed on the MB QVL and known to work. DO NOT rely on what the RAM manufacturer says re compatibility.
