Is my ram installed correctly?

Okay so in this video, you can see my Kingston HyperX 1x8 gb ram. Ignore the cup next to it, I haven't installed it yet. I'm just wondering in that video, there's a little gap between the ram and motherboard slot. I mean, it's probably connected, but I just wanna make sure. Probably a stupid question.

cant tell to short and too dark. with ram it going ot be in if you hear a click and the two ram slot holders are locked in.
with any ram or card the gold finders are always a little taller then the slot. you can tell if a card/ram is in right if the hight is even across it.
