Dear friends,

Would you please inform if my ram is Samsung b-die ? I've heard this is the best for Ryzen correct ?

Ram model: Patriot Viper rgb white 2x8gb (16gb) 2666mhz pc4-21300 model number PE000579-PVR416G266C5KW

Please don't send me the list of Samsung b-die Rams, as I'm not an English native speaker that list confuses my brain and I can't understand a thing

If not Samsung b-die, is my ram good anyway ? I'll pair it up with a Ryzen 7 1800x, Gigabyte b450 ds3h and a GTX 1070 ti.

Thanks a lot my friends

Hello my buddy,

Very nice to hear it's a good ram, as I'm not an overclocking expert I will not do it.

And yes, I already have those parts, below my full build:
Cpu: Ryzen 7 1800x
CPU cooler: Masterliquid 120L
GPU: Gtx 1070 ti Asus rog atrix
Mobo: Gigabyte b450 ds3h
Ram: As per said
Psu: cx550w
Case: Bg-015

Thanks for helping me!

Well if you ever want to try to overclock your RAM, these are the settings I would try. If at any time your settings don't work, it won't boot, etc. Either boot to BIOS and revert to default settings or if you can't then reset your bios via the jumper on the motherboard or by removing your CMOS battery for a period of time to allow it to reset.

DDR4 3000 (or 3200)
1.35V dram
CAS 16-18-18-36

If it works with those settings you can either leave it or try for better by lowering either voltage to 1.30V or timings to 15-17-17-35. I probably wouldn't try to do both, just one or the other. Lower timings would make it faster or lower voltage would make it cooler.

Thanks my friends for all the help, but I'm not overclocking It (cost me a lot of money and I'm afraid to mess things up), so I'll just run them on stock

Anyway even if it's not Samsung b-die, but good quality ram I'm happy anyway hahaha

Thanks a lot everyone!

Unless you do or BIOS lets you do some extremely foolish thing like setting them to 2v, no amount of OC will damage it.
