Is my ram the problem

I'm using a Asus prime x370-pro mobo and I'm using hyperx fury 2x 8gb ram (hx426c15fbk2/8) all my parts turn on but I don't get display on my monitors is the ram the cause?

First you need a compatible CPU, some of the 1st gen.

what would be the cheapest 1st gen amd cpu that would work to update my bios
update: i have found the amd a6-9500 and it seems like others are buying it to flash their x370's

Probably A6-9500, it's an APU so you don't need a dedicated GPU. AMD was lending them for free just for that purpose, maybe they are still doing it.
