Hey guys, I just want to ask something real fast.

I have an old pc setup with cpu - pentium g4560 and gpu - gtx 1050 with 2x 4GB RAM. When I play for example games like Fornite the avg fps is around 100-120, but in some specific moments the fps drops to 1-30 and is stuterring really bad.
Could this be perhaps of the lack of memory ? if I get 2x8GB will it be better, with no stuttering and hard fps drops? I genually want to know what may cause the reason of the wide fps drops.

Thanks for your time :)

Update your post to include full system hardware specs and OS information.

Motherboard?

Include PSU: make, model, wattage, age, condition? History of heavy use for gaming, video editing, bit-mining?

Disk drives(s): make, model, capacity, how full?

Compare your system specs to the various game's recommended hardware specs.

Most games provide hardware specs in some form of minimal, recommended, and best.

You do not want "minimal" and you do want as much "best" as you can afford. However, at some point "more " of anything (for example, RAM) becomes moot.

Use Resource Monitor or Task Manager to observe system performance before gaming and then while gaming.

Determine what changes (RAM perhaps) when fps drops or stutters.
