so I have
Antec 900w psu bronze
i7K 2600
Sabertooth P67
GTX970 gamer OC
Corsair vengeance 8GB
1Tb WD HDD

I think I get some bottle necking during some applications, ive tried asking in the CPU section but either they don't see it or don't answer me. The GPU is new and ive never had an issue with my old GPU which was an asus radeon HD6950.

Solution
the 2600k is a beast still and just as powerful as any new 4790k. dont worry, your good to go for years. if sandy bridge is bottlencking a gpu, then haswell will also. what do you have the 2600k running at?

3.4GHz atm although my motherboard can boost it to 3.7GHz although previous thread I thought it to be 3.3GHz - 3.6GHz boost, I just checked on dxdiag.

you have a p67. what cpu cooler do you have? if you have nothing(stock intel), go get a cooler master hyper 212 evo, then overclock that baby to 4.4ghz+ easy. your sabertooth and high current gamer will easily provide stability. sandy bridge processors are legendary overclockers.

I have a coolermaster V6GT :)
And word is my cpu is fine it's something else.

Yeah was told it could be the drivers, I though asus uninstall took them all away, I will run this tomorrow and see if things improve :)

My CPU is stock, so 3.4GHz my motherboard can "auto" overclock to 3.7GHz but when I do it is unstable, the system runs fine for a while then I get a random reset so im guessing the system overclock doesn't work well. my temps are fine, I had a few things open yesterday and wow on ultra settings etc. and it got to 51 degrees @ 3.8GHz (as its turbo) or so it said.

I don't get any stop codes, the computer just resets (just like ive hit the reset switch) I find it very strange indeed. I also had 2 display driver errors which I cant replicate now, I removed the old driver again using DDU and reinstalled straight from the website (I recently got a SSD so there was no old asus driver on there and a new HDD to boot.)

I have not tried the on-board overclock since though. Maybe I should give it a try? also i ran 3D mark firestrike and my system come up good (i think) for stock.

back to the original issue, would i find any bios stop codes in a error logging section somewhere? as all i had was black screen and windows reloading. (never had a black screen when running the P67 on normal mode) .
once again thanks for your help in advance !

Ah ok, is there a good program to use for it? I got oc guru for my gtx970 (not that I've used it) I heard my gpu can hit 1300 core clock with no issues. And maybe my cpu to 4.2GHz if there's a nice program to help me.
