[SOLVED] Is my router causing Ping spikes?

Recently I am getting a lot of ping spikes while playing FPS games
I have a PPPoE connection
My pc is connected to the ethernet cable. The ethernet cable is also connected to the router for WiFi. Is there any chance the router is causing the ping spikes because my friend who lives in the same society as me has the same net and does not have any spikes. My router is TP Link dual antenna one

Only way to know if the router is causing the problem is to try a different one (maybe ask your friend if you can try his router on your rig just for testing purposes?).
