Hello. So I've had my 5800X for a year now and lately it has started to slow down while gaming. So today I ran 3DMark Time Spy with stock settings (no OC) and got CPU score of 10 330. I was wondering if this score is normal for stock 5800X or is it way under the average. And if it's not my CPU that's dying could it be my motherboard or something else?

Have you scanned your system for malware? Also, have you reviewed what background applications/processes are running? You likely have more things running now than when you built this config.
Yeah scanned with Malwarebytes and it didn't find anything. I checked the background processes but there was nothing unnecessary running that could use CPU utilization so much.

Based on just the 3DMark score your CPU is running a bit low, but not abnormally. All of the ones I skimmed through which were higher performing were using higher speed memory. Your video card is performing lower than expected, but not by a whole ton so it doesn't appear there's an obvious issue.

It would be worth checking to see if there's any dust/dirt buildup on the CPU and/or GPU coolers.
