Is my Samsung 256gb EVO PRO DOA?

Evening, All,

I received a 256gb Samsung 950 Pro SSD today.

It appears in Win10 bios and in Disk Management just fine. It initialised fine.

When attempting to format NTFS, simple partition, it either fails to complete (with error message) or never (after four hours so far) finishes.

Anything to try, or just request an RMA?

Try a different cable.
See what the Samsung Magician says.
And ask Samsung.

But yes, prepare for an RMA.

Thanks, but I already changed cables. Samsung Magician does not report the drive.
