I am have currently bought a system at PC Specialist, and I had a budget of around the 650 euro....
The System:
Asus Prime A320M-K
AMD Ryzen 5 3400G
16 GB Corsair VENGEANCE DDR4 2666Mhz
512 GB M.2 2000r/1100w
2 TB barracuda 7200 6GB/s
450W Power supply

Are there any things I should have done different?

Solution
I live in the Netherlands... The euro is our currency... And yes, I have basic understanding of building a PC. Worked in the ICT helpdesk in early 2000s...
Sir, here's your PC
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1zuzTVrACjT3jK5CKkE_aXJNAgMpjeono/view?usp=sharing

The total would be 539 euros
for
Ryzen 5 2600 6 core 12 thread processor
Corsair 2x8 GB 3200MHz RAM
Asus Prime A320M-K
GTX 1050Ti
WD 500GB NVMe
1TB 7200RPM HDD
RGB mid-ATX Gaming tower
Corsair CV550 550W PSU

AND this would be my setup

Don't mind the monitor i ran out of budget but will change that later
The 3400G is a popular entry level CPU for relatively low-cost entry-level gaming systems, but, depending on the game, the integrated graphics builtin next to the CPU die normally require modest (low to medium) settings if trying to game at 1080P, depending on the visual complexity/age of the game... (The iGPU performs better on other mainboards with faster RAM, most like to set a defacto target of 3200 MHz for RAM clocks, but, I'm not sure the A320 would have allowed that option of faster RAM clocks anyway)

And if not really into more than casual gaming, you should be set as is anyway!

Enjoy!

Could I have made a better choice regarding my budget? Or would you say that I made the right choice... Games I play aren't that demanding, I guess: City Skyline, Minecraft and maybe I would like to play Watch Dogs 1 and 2...?

Ya even I built a similar pc
Asus Prime A320M-K
Ryzen 5 3500 6-core Zen2(much better than 3400G) yet cheaper than 3400G
Adata Gammix D30 dual channel 3200MHz 16GB ram
and a rx550 4GB clocked at 1348MHz
A crucial BX500 240GB
no hard drive cz i had a budget of $500
Corsair CV450 PSU
Bro that PC specialist is a dumb guy in my opinion man?
i built the above in like $500? that also in INDIA

Bro that PC specialist was either too dumb or wanted high profit ? i built my PC with decent discrete graphics and 3200MHz RAM 16GB if u value my opinion I will provide you with a list of parts for your country and send you, return that pc to that guy RN

Pc specialist charge too much and use fairly poor quality psu's.

If you'd built your own you could probably have got a discrete gpu in there with around twice the performance of the 3400g integrated graphics.

That said if it fits your uses then the 3400g is a decent cpu.

You just paid a little too much (meaning around €100) for that configuration because you bought from PC specialist.

Best of luck and send me a friend req on instagram ig_reaperyt.z also mail me after you finish building at redkar.atharv5@gmail.com
Ouch! I have to deside to make that build later for my son, because the pc must be bought as a whole to be able for my wife to count it as expense on her company name. (tax wise)

But my son wants to have a pc early next year, an he has around the same budget as me, so I will make it for him... :)
Thanks,
