Is my single channel ram bottlenecking my performance on games?

New Rig i built, So i have single channel delta force rgb ram at 2666 mhz via DOCP. Im wondering why i get unstable fps especially in modern AAA titles like shadow and rise of the tomb raider. Its just weird because i get 80fps at medium then it goes down to 30 after a while (especially in explosions). Do i need to overclock my gpu? or get another stick? pls help me tnx

I have dx12 and the new drivers on so yeah. It's worse on Dx11

For the Ryzen platform, you should be looking at DDR4-3200MHz rams and to that effect, look at a dual channel ram kit to bring the most out of your platform. Might also want to throw away that PSU, it's got no business being anywhere near a system.

yeah.. dual channel vs single channel can be a difference of 30+Fps and can go as high as 60+fps..
get a dual channel kit.
