Your computer can at best barely run the game. As said, GTA IV is a very poorly coded game and requires pretty strong hardware in order to run it properly. A fast quad core CPU is a must for this game. The GT 210 is less powerful than the XBox 360's GPU, even if you did have a quad core, I'm not sure if you could get acceptable framerates out of that card, even at lowest possible settings. If you want to play the game, you're looking at either some major upgrades on your PC, or playing it on a console.

thanks for the input. really sorry about the dxdiag mess. my pc is actually running gta iv "ok" on NOT the lowest of resolutions funny enough. it lags a bit but is playable.

iv got a 32bit operating system for XP.... is it true that 32bit operating systems cannot run 3gb of RAM.. only 64bit ???

32 Bit operating systems can only address up to 4GB of memory. That covers both system RAM, and the Video RAM on your graphics card. 0.5GB is always reserved for hardware so the maximum amount of RAM you would possibly see on a 32 bit OS is 3.5 GB. If your video card has 1GB of memory you'll probably only see 3GB of RAM for your system. If you do want to get more RAM you are going to have to upgrade to a 64 bit operating system.

I read somewhere that 32bit OS can only run up to 2G RAM... So are you saying that the memory a video card uses is the amount taken off my RAM??? So if I have 3G RAM and have a video card with 512MB i would be using roughly 2.5G RAM???

The 2GB limit you read about is how much RAM a 32 bit application can use. A 64 bit application is required for a program to use more than 2GB of RAM. The OS can address up to 4GB. If your video card has 512MB of RAM your OS will recognize 3 to 3.5GB of RAM for your system.

A 32 bit operating system will only address up to 4 GB of RAM. Most programs are written as 32 bit exe files, these can only use up to 2 GB of RAM. For a program to use more than 2 GB of RAM it requires a 64 bit exe file, which can only be run on a 64 bit operating system.
