Hi everyone,

need your support. would like to know if my system is capable to install new nvme m2 drive? may be 1tb or 2b? i already have 1 m2 drive ( ADATA) in my c drive.

also would like to know the best budget drive in the same which can give me maximum read and write speed for work purpose ( multimedia animation )

what is gen3 and gen 4? is my system capable for that?

thanks for letting me know. i have rtx graphic card too. so still do i have extra pcie slot available ? can you also recommend the best budget drive?
 
Both of the available M.2 ports are PCIe 3.0. No reason to go for a PCIe 4.0 drive.

I assume this will be a storage drive only, not the C drive.

A lot of different drives would be fine.

One possibility is an Intel 660P or 760P.

Others by Crucial, Western Digital, or Samsung would also be acceptable.

Thanks for the message. yes its for storage device only, c drive is having ADATA m2 drive already.

so i don't have pcie 4.0 in my system ? i though i have powerful system :(

It doesn't matter much anyway. There is very little difference between 3.0 and 4.0.

Do you insist on an ADATA brand?

What capacity do you require?

The most important thing is reliability, but there's not much you can do to predict that.

I'd think most about capacity, price, return privileges with the seller, and warranty. It might be worthwhile to try to find a review of the drive.

ok if there is not much difference then its ok.

i am looking for 1 TB or may be 2TB if its little cheap

i am focusing on adata as its good in terms of price and i already have that in my c drive so thats why
