Is my system still good enough?

Recently I've been wondering if my PC is still good enough for gaming. Now I am able to play almost every game on at least medium settings at 25-30 fps minimum, depending on the game. Would you recommend any upgrade for my desktop?

Solution
First thing I would do is to upgrade to 8GB, which will also allow you to activate dual channel memory and get up to 15% better performance..
Second thing I would do would be to get a real 4 core CPU. Right now you have a 2 core with hyperthreading. You would be far better off with 4 cores without hyperthreading.

And I would do those in the next 6-8 months. Then start saving your money. A year from now, there will be a whole pile of new 16nm based video cards out there that will be much smaller, much faster, and for the same money as you would spend today.

Also, I see no mention of the heart of your system. The power supply.
If you can play games you like and in settings acceptable for you...then just enjoy it and save your money for future upgrades if you want to.

Whats your current specs? What settings you want to have? Your budget?

You don't really have a gaming PC in any capacity.
it is possible that your motherboard has value...

4GB of ram is probably only on one stick and therefore not dual channel and should be expanded.
i3 3240 is an economy CPU meant for effeciency, not performance.
Radeon HD 6670 2GB is a very dated GPU, a modern one will more than tripple your performance.

Which GPU under 120€ would you recommend? And is 8GB RAM necessary for gaming? Also is it worth it if I upgrade to new generation Hasswell or Ivy bridge would be pretty much the same? My PSU is 500W Allied Tech brand.

I agree ^^^

medium at 30 fps Is console settings so if that works for you that's fine. most computer gamers set the "acceptable" limit at 60 fps, so you wont really have anyone tell you that that is a good set up.

if you want more, then upgrade, but if you are fine with what you have now, keep it and save money till later

Allied power supplies are about as bad as they get. They are listed under our fireball category. There is no lower category. We do not recommend even powering those back up. So please add this to your list of things to upgrade.

And yes, most of us have decided that having 8GB of memory is better than having 4GB.

I do not know where you live, so here are some options. Mail in Rebates are likely to be USA only. All power supplies are linked to pcpartpicker.com. Prices can change at any time, so click the link to see what they are showing for the current price.

Seasonic makes what I believe are the best power supplies on the planet. All XFX power supplies are also made by Seasonic. The EVGA unit at the bottom of this list is also a very good power supply. All of these have at least a 5 year warranty.
