is my system still okay or new gpu

i5 4690k
asus z97 maximuis ranger
msi gtx 980ti
xfx 850watt psu
cryorig universal cooler
soundblaster xr

i was just wondering if i should go forna new pc as my system is starting to struggle with newer titles like mafia 3 etc to hit a continoius 60fps which component should i change or upgrade for a faster more powerful pc maybe change to z170 platform with better gpu

Your system is still a great PC. Mafia 3 is a horribly optimized game with FPS caps, so you should not use it as a base. Otherwise, that system is great for 4K and anything beneath it.

TBH, your system doesn't really need an upgrade atm, but a new monitor might make some of your games more enjoyable. That is up to you/

Agreed.
If you don't have one already, I suggest a 1080p 144hz monitor.
Mafia 3 is just a hot mess of poor optimization at the moment, barely hitting 60fps with a GTX 1080 at 1440p I believe.
