2 years ago I was playing Satisfactory by myself. I had a GTX 670, i7 940, 24GB RAM, etc. One day I logged back in to discover the performance was horrible. I got around 40-50 FPS medium settings before I had logged in, but now I was getting 15-20 FPS low settings. I had no idea what had changed. I tried windowed mode, full screen, lowering settings, but nothing was working. I wasn't very tech smart then but now that I have learned more, I think I know what the problem was. My FPS would increase if I went far away from my main factory, but lowered as soon as I came near. The GTX 670 only has 2GB of VRAM, and I think all the machines in my factory exceeded the VRAM limit and thus performance crashed. It didn't help that my factory was a spaghetti mess. I then upgraded to a GTX 1650 and performance improved, but back then I couldn't figure out what had happened. Does my theory sound plausible? I don't play satisfactory anymore, so I don't have much info besides what had happened.

Run DDU and remove all GPU drovers from your platform, then manually reinstall with the latest version sourced from Nvidia's support site, in an elevated command, i.e, Right click installer>Run as Administrator.

Please list the specs to your build like so:
CPU:
CPU cooler:
Motherboard:
Ram:
SSD/HDD:
GPU:
PSU:
Chassis:
OS:
Monitor:
include the age of the PSU apart from it's make and model. BIOS version for your motherboard at this moment of time.
