Is my Ti4600 dead?

hi guys ,
i have a problem with my MSI geforce 4 ti4600 card . when i start my pc it shows some lines on the monitor , i tried updating the drivers but with no much use .And some times the card runs perfectly i don;t know what can be the reason can any 1 help ? by the way i got this card from a friend so there is no warranty for it .... so is it dead ? Please give advise

if it worked before and not anymore now, how about do a clean install of Windows maybe?

i have tried that but with no use .... some guys tell me it might be the memory on th card ... but iam not sure what to do

Do the lines appear at the bios setup screen, or are they only visible in windows?

What kind of lines?Do they appear like cuts in the image?Do they scroll?It sounds like a problem i had with my 9500pro (and many others have).That is thought to be an issue with electromagnetic interference.
Does the card benchmark and run games ok?
