[SOLVED] Is my WAN RJ45 connector broken?

So our flatmates left and took the other router but I swear they tugged the connector too hard as I'm trying to connect to a different router we have but to me it seems like an issue with the connection itself as I have done everything needed to setup a new router. Here are the pictures of it, I don't think the blue part should be coming out like that right? We have a bunch of other WAN cables coming from the wall but only one seems to get some kind of connection which is the one that got tugged on. Like it seems like it needs to be redone and crimped properly.

Since there are many similar looking cables, are you sure you hzve the WAN cable correctly identified?

It was the only one providing some kind of signal, it tried to connect to it but failed to. I've tried the others but they don't light up the router internet light. And this one makes the light blink meaning there is something wrong with the connection. I will try the others again but I doubt they will work. What bothers me is why there are so many different ones to begin with lol.

If it wasn't like this before, then the 'broseafus crew' broke it, possibly due to breaking a wire internally somewhere. If re-crimping it doesn't work, then a wire could be broken elsewhere in the cable.

Since you don't know where those wires go, you have to do some detective work. I would recommend looking around for wall plates that have ethernet jacks. Using a wire mapper like this -- https://www.amazon.com/Klein-VDV526-052-Scout-Junior-Tester/dp/B004CI9NRM is a positive way to trace cables. You put the "remote" on one of the cables in the closet and move the main unit around until you get a match. Then label the cable and wall plate with a matching ID.

I would just recrimp that end and see if that works. If not, you've got to trace and do the detective work.
