Hi All,

I have an ASUS ROG G751JT running Windows 10. recently the network connection on WiFi is unable to load pages. the network status says internet connected secured, however pages on multiple browsers wont load. I use the troubleshooter and sometimes the adapter needs to be reset, sometimes no error is found. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the software and hardware. I have re-installed the OS , updated the driver through Windows, and updated the driver through Intel. Nothing has worked. Ethernet works fine and other devices have no issue connecting to wireless to my home network. The next thing to try is taking it elsewhere to try the WiFi elsewhere. the laptop is 2 years old.

Thanks

That is very strange. A bit too quick for a WiFi card to start failing. I guess you probably don't have an extended warranty? I would try to take it to another hotspot (or use your phone) and see if you get the same thing. You should be able to replace the WIFi card (under the laptop in one of the bays).

No extended warranty my battery failed one day after the 1 year expired and ASUS wanted $600 and 6 weeks to replace it. If i can find the part I'll probably just replace once i rule out my router being the culprit.

I replaced the battery myself and got it for a $100. took like 2 hours because 75% of the laptop had to be disassembled to get to it. you have any suggestions on what site I can get the part?

Seems the router is the culprit. Linksys WRT1900AC. have had issues with this and Windows 10 before. Before the router would restart when my laptop connected to it, now it seems its just blocking the internet connection entirely. i can connect by Ethernet but no good with WI-Fi, maybe the Windows 10 update has a conflict with the router. Gonna factory reset the router maybe that'll fix it.

defaulting the router has restored the wi-fi connection but i'm back to the router rebooting whenever the laptop starts up. Might just have to replace it at this point.
