Nahimic 3 in my opinion isn't worth the money. If you're an audiophile and want best sounds, buy a dedicated sound card.

Also, you can get virtual 7.1 sounds without Nahimic 3 as well. Several gaming headsets come with virtual 7.1 surround sound built in. E.g my Corsair Void Pro RGB USB headset has Dolby 7.1 surround sound built in and i can choose either to enable it and listen virtual 7.1 surround sound or disable it and listen regular stereo sound.

Absolutely agree with Aeacus. A decent external DAC will do a better job all around (and they are very cost effective) as will the better soundcards like the AE5 etc due to there built in 32 bit DACs and the like. Even though my motherboard has a good DAC, the internal AE5 Sound card I bought is a world of difference in driving my audio setup and 250 Ohm headphones.
