hey guys, I'm thinking of returning the acer for this aorus ( have a dead subpixel ) becuse it has a 1mm responsw time vs 4 and hdr for roughly $40 more. the only thinbg stopping me is that native gsync. is having the built in software always going to be noticeably better then gsync compatible even on top end monitors ???

They're the same. No functional difference worth paying more for.

GSync generally has a 40Hz low limit, whereas VESA Adaptive Sync monitors USUALLY only go to 48Hz. However, with LFC kicking in below that, it's arguably better to have a slightly higher (but still reasonable 48Hz) low limit. That also avoids the potential for flickering with too slow refreshes.
