This is my current setup: https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/WdP6PF

I want to upgrade to the i7 14700k and probably an ASUS motherboard. Will my old Noctua NH-D15S fan with the 14700k be enough to keep it good temps? If it were you, would you normally upgrade to a new cooler with a new CPU? As far as I know Noctua fans last for like 10 years.

Also I'm assuming I'll need to upgrade my PSU as well. Would you guys recommend any extra case fans to help with air flow? My case is massive. I do not overclock.

I run a 14900K with a NH-D15s.
I reused my old cooler.
They will last indefinitely.

You are good.
Noctua thinks so too:

One thing you will need is a lga1700 mounting kit.
Noctua will send you one for free.

On your list, I think your psu should be stronger.
850w or more perhaps.
It will allow you to install a stronger graphics card in the future.
A overly strong psu will only use the power demanded of it, regardless of the max capability.

On your list, you have two mismatched kits of ddr4 ram.
I presume, you intend to reuse them.
Normally, ram must be from a single kit to run properly.
But, since things are working, go ahead and plan on reusing them.
A better replacement would be a 2 stick kit.

Yeah, it's plenty good enough........for me.

But "good" might mean whatever you intend it to mean?

Some folks are absolutely panicked about temps and will spend a lot of money to drive temps down. If you have that affliction, you may have other ideas, such as liquid cooling.

I've got Noctua fans that are 10 years old and going strong.

Awesome, thank you so much for the tip on the Noctua mounting kit for free that's awesome. Great to know my cooler will suffice for that cpu. Thanks to confirm they last really long too. Yeah I put the new CPU on part picker and was saying I was already over my PSU limit so thanks for 850w suggestion will go with that. I didn't know they only use the power demanded regardless of max capability.

In regards to the RAM I have two kits of the exact identical RAM I thought this was ok? I was debating about getting a DDR5 mobo/ram.

Yeah like I said I have a huge case, it has a fan at the back and front of case and I did research the hell out of my cooler before my build so I knew it was top of the line and figured it was good enough for 14700k I just wanted some 2nd opinions. Thanks for all your info, glad to know yours is still going strong after 10 years!

"identical kits" aren't identical.

It may work out for you or may not.

Ideally, you want ONE kit rather than 2 supposedly identical kits.

Sounds like you buy hardware and stick with it a long time. If I was building from scratch today, I'd go with DDR 5. Price difference is small.

Agree. Worth the re-sale down the road for small price difference and just have the better tech. Weird I was under the impression as long as they were identical kits they worked but I guess it's not the case.
