Question is not updating!

hello guys so i downloaded the bios version 5862 ( i currently have the version 5606) but i get this "selected file is not a proper BIOS" (all this in the ASUS PRIME A320M-K ) what shall i do?

The latest version of BIOS is now 6062. It installs using their BRenamerl Bios Software

The file as downloaded from Asus is a compacted archive file. You have to unpack the actual BIOS ROM image file from that archive. The actual file you use for the update has a .CAP suffix.

If you're updating BIOS at all I'd agree it's a good idea to go to the latest unless you have a special reason not to.

If Windows 10 is not updating, you can try to restart Windows Update services. The followings are the detailed operation methods. Step 1: Right-click the Start menu of Windows 10 or press Windows key + X key together, then choose Command Prompt(Admin) .

The OP is trying to update the BIOS, not Windows.
