Hi everyone,

I was offered a used Asus GTX 1060 6GB Dual OC for about 150 euros (about $165). The card works fine but no longer has warranty, which means it must be over 3 years old.

I just wonder if it's a good deal to take at the moment? Would it be enough for the next 2-3 years? I don't play games very often and mostly play CSGO at the moment. I sometimes play light games like YuGiOh and Cossacks and I think I played COD once but didn't continue after finishing the main story campaign. I also work regularly with graphic tasks (images + videos).

My current build:

CPU i5-8400
Mobo msi b360 gaming plus
Ram 16gb ddr4 (2666mhz)
SSD samsung 500 gb
PSU corsair RM750x gold

Cheers,

It's not a good deal, IMO. You can get a new one with warranty for about €200!

If you were playing on a 1080p 60hz monitor, then I'd say it's just fine for a year or two for the types off games you play, and workload you do.

But then again, for about €220 you could get a GTX1660, which would be better than the GTX1060.

You could also look at an AMD RX580/590 like this:

Video Card: PowerColor Radeon RX 580 8 GB Video Card (€215.67 @ Custompc)
Total: €215.67

This would be faster than the GTX1060 for the most part. Another option to consider.
