Is now still a good time to purchase a 5930k?

I'm planning on building a PC for video editing and I'd like to ask if now (Feb-March 2015) is still a good time to buy an Intel 5930k CPU. I'm aware it was released August 2014, and I'd like to know if a new version/successor will be released fairly soon so I can wait for the new one instead.

Next version is probably coming end of this year or next year. That is in case there will be broadwell-e. The I7 5930k is still a great buy if you need the extra pcie lanes compared to the 5820k (for 4 way sli).

It's a great CPU, overclocks well and keeps cool with a good water cooler. No one knows when exactly the next generation will be out and it almost certainly won't be leaps and bounds better than the current generation. If you want a new CPU then buy one.
