so i heard that after nvidia releases its pascal GPUs nvidia will stop optimizing drivers for the maxwell cards is it true? oh gosh i just bought a gtx 960 4gb and i feel like an idiot was it a mistake to buy so early? but also will nvidia stop supporting those cards now? after pascal?

Solution
i wouldnt worry about it

yes pascal cards will be with us soon--but doesnt mean a pascal card that would have cost the same

as your gtx960 did will be with us soon

for the money your gtx960 was a good buy and will be fine for a few years to come

It takes Nvidia a couple of generations to stop paying as close attention to optimizing new software for their old hardware, so you have several years left. Dropping support outright (like Fermi not getting Vulkan support) take 5-6+ years to happen.
