Is NVIDIA GeForce GT 740M an integrated graphic adapter ?

I have a plan to buy a laptop ( Acer Aspire E1-570G ) but I don't want it with an integrated graphic adapter, as I had a really bad experience in the past. All I want to know is, if the chip external or integrated.

It a secondary adapter with dedicated VRAM, its probably soldered onto the motherboard though, so TECHNICALLY its integrated into the machine, but it performs better.

..... That's what I was afraid of ://///// .... I want a removable chip... cuz in the past I burned 2 laptops. I know that removable graphic adapters are expensive, but I dont care, as long as I can just change the adapter. Ok thanks a lot.

The nvidia GT 740m is not integrated in the cpu, however it is usually soldered on the motherboard of the laptop. That Acer does have an integrated graphic adapter (Intel HD Graphics 4000) integrated in the cpu, but it also comes with a dedicated GT 740m.

I rly worry that I have to reball the chip after 2 or 3 years. That's why I want a laptop with external graphic slot.

VERY few laptops have removable adapters these days, it sucks, i know.

Sager/Clevo laptops usually come with a motherboard that allows the gpu to be replaced/upgraded. You will find other manufacturers also have this option on some of their exotic/high-end/gaming laptops.

Oh, by the way .... can I get a laptop with APU and change at some point ? APU has GPUs integrated right ?

APU is AMD's name for their cpu with integrated gpu. It depends on the laptop if the APU can be changed, usually it will not be possible.

Again, most laptop APUs are solders into the CPU socket.
