is one motherboard better than others?

I heard that Z series motherboards are for OC and high end whereas B and H series are cheaper ones.

As long as I get Z series, should I assume that all of them are good or is one much superior to others?

They are generally similar in performance. Manufacturers use features to differentiate their product from each other. There are some that have WIFI on the motherboard. If that is not a feature you will use, why pay for it. There are lots of "roundup" type articles which do side by side comparisons. It might even be the color of the board that makes you chose one over another.
