Is overclocked 2400Mhz RAM okay for a Ryzen 5 2600X?

Hi guys, I’ve heard about the ram hungry nature of the Ryzen CPU’s and I’m upgrading from an R3 1200 to a 2600X in a few days. Along with that I’m planning on getting a 1080 to go with it. Should I keep my OC’d (2400 to 2666) 8x2 RAM modules or opt for a 1070 and a 2600 Mhz 8GB kit?

Solution
Considering the price of buying new RAM, it's not worth it as you won't gain a significant difference by upgrading your RAM from 2400 to 2666. I suggest u go for the 1080 instead.

Also, if your RAM is at 2400 speed, you can't overclock it to 2666 and u shouldn't.

P.S: 2400Mhz is not considered an overclocked speed.
