I intend to keep this computer for a while and don't want to it brake for a good amount of time. Not really sure if it's worth it, with the risks and everything. Although, having a high refresh rate monitor I would be happy to squeeze any more performance out of I can. Even if it was worth it I would be unsure how to go about doing it. Any advice appreciated.

My rig:
CPU: Ryzen 3600
GPU: 1660 ti
MOBO: MPG x570 GAMING PLUS
RAM: 16gb 3200mhz vengeance LPX

Solution
not much headroom left for OC 3rd gen ryzen
which leaves you with RAM and GPU, those could be overclocked
toying with RAM can actually improve CPU performance by quite a bit
Overclocking your hardware properly with voltage and max temp well within safe boundaries will not decrease the longevity of your hardware in a significant manner.

A Ryzen 5 3600 probably cannot be overclocked far enough to be worthwhile.
Tweaking DRAM frequency and timings when using Ryzen 3000 can increase performance by a significant margin.
You can overclock your 1660ti. This will be worthwhile, with how much depending on how far your particular model can be pushed.
