[SOLVED] Is pairing a 3rd gen i5 with an rtx3060 a bad idea?

So I have had the idea to pair a 3rd gen i5(i5-3340) with a rtx 3060. ignoring the pirce of a rtx 3060, will this be a huge waste of performace? Or would an gtx 1660 be better? Also would be grate if the graphics card would remain good for the next 5 years, so thats why Im leaning toward the rtx card.

Also have a 600w Xilence power supply, wpuld that be enough for the system?

Seems like you're operating on a budget?

It's certainly a balancing act. Assuming you can even buy a RTX3060 for anywhere near MSRP....(?) you have to ask what that extra cost for untapped performance is...costing you in other areas. Lower quality PSU. Prolonging the much-needed CPU upgrade. Etc.
