I'm bulding my fiance a computer, and I want it to be as cheep as posible (litlle tight on money right now)
so I know AMDs Duron 700 kicks the crap out of Celleron 700
and its cheaper like 17$ here (Israel) but the MotherBoards
are a huge difference the chipeset I found is A-Open ak33
for 127$ and with and integtrated sound only, but for the celleron I found for 89$ an integrated Board with TNT32+Sound+Modem and the company is PC CHIPC I think the Model is M758LMR or something so you see why I'm getting Celleron so here is my question, are those boards any good
I know the shared memory for the Video card is slow but
I need the Modem+Video card ,so i wouldnt have to buy one
Thanks for any Info.

PC chips mobo = NO

try to get a Aopen MK33 MATX

I always trust Aopen never had problems with them most likely in 2 or 3 years my next PC will run a Aopen motherboard for my P5 or Athlon 2

First person to get a topic banned. ABIT BP6 Lives FOREVER!!!

Well, I have heard of people who haven't had problems with a PC Chips board, but they're few and far between. My own experience with one of their SS7 boards was horrible - the FSB was 89.89 MHz instead of 100, which threw the PCI bus way out of spec, plus I recken it had sopme dodgy cache chips because it would collapse during boot if you enabled the cache...

It's really not worth saving a few bucks for a board that you have to throw away. Personally I'd recommend an FIC board - fairly cheap, fairly reliable (well, I've never had any problems). Not the greatest for features though...

If the sex is great then spend more money on a better system.

Good Luck!

Take Care.
If money was no object, how could you spend it!
