Question Is pcie universal???

I just ordered my wifi card for my pc build. it is meant for pcie x1 but if I remember correctly it should work in my x16 slot correct?

asus prime 650m-a ax ii, I know it has onboard wifi and bluetooth but my ping was randomly spiking so I decided to just pick up a pcie wifi card.

That is more likely because of

wifi antenna placement,​

distance to wifi router or​

signal interference from other sources (like microwave oven - for example).​

A new wifi card can't solve external factors.

Well, I just installed and it is working much better... For whatever reason I was having bandwidth issues with the onboard wifi and the card seemingly has solved the issue. Not sure where you got your info 🙂
