Question Is pcpartpicker.com right?

I'm looking for new RAM for my PC. I checked pcpartpicker.com for compatible RAM. After finding a RAM i want i used the QVL list for my motherboard to double check and its not on their. I don't know if the RAM is compatible or not.

My motherboard: Asus ROG Strix z270f gaming

I would assume the actual motherboard manufacturer knows what works with their boards.
What motherboard and RAM?
