I personally like Asus products. My Desktop PC has an Asus Motherboard too. And I do find most of their products innovative. I always thought that AsusTek was the company and Asus, Pegatron, Unihan were just the divisions. But when I was browsing the Asus Wiki I found out that I was wrong.
If you would take a look on the Asus wiki then you will find the following lines:
"In January 2008, Asus began a major restructuring of its operations, splitting into three independent companies: Asus (focused on applied first-party branded computers and electronics); Pegatron (focused on OEM manufacturing of motherboards and components); and Unihan Corporation (focused on non-PC manufacturing such as cases and molding)....
...On 1 June 2010, Asus spun off Pegatron Corp."
Does this mean that both Asus and Pegatron are completely separate companies?
Does Pegatron have better relations with Asus than other companies?
Does Asus gets their products manufactured from Pegatron or from elsewhere?
Are the motherboards and graphic cards with the "Asus" branding, products of Pegatron or Asus?
