Will Windows 7 run on my machine???

Your PC will definitely run Windows 7 without issues. I have it installed in my old PC which also has Pentium 4 and 2GB RAM and it runs very well.

Yes, it is compatible, and the official CPU requirement for Win7 32-bit is simply a x86 CPU clocked at 1 Ghz or above.

About Windows 7 64-bit, it depends on model of Pentium 4 : first models don't support x86-64 instructions but the newer models fully support them.

The P4 is not much of the problem,

it would be the mobo and the limited drivers support for the W7.
